The Federal Antimonopoly Service granted the petition of Vyborg Shipyard to acquire 100% share of the capital of Galvanika Company. As reported by the press office of the supervision authority, the main activity of the company is metal working and corrosion resistant coating application.

Sovcomflot offers cooperation to Shell Concern as regards construction of floating liquefied natural gas barges for the Russian shelf, as stated the deputy head of the gas fleet department of the largest Russian shipping company Dmitry Rusanov. "In the future, we expect that the floating vessels will be used at idle gas fields on the shelf of Russia," said Mr. Rusanov at the forum "World Open Innovation" held by Shell. But first of all, of great importance is to examine the possibility of solving a great number of potential difficulties, such as low temperatures and heavy ice conditions.

The Seafarers' Union of Russia and the Union of Russian Shipowners signed the agreement on cooperation and collaboration. The agreement was signed by the chairman of the Seafarers' Union of Russia Yury Sukhorukov and the president of the Union of Russian Shipowners Mikhail Romanovsky. They are going to work jointly to implement the requirements of the Maritime Labour Convention of the International Labour Organisation (MLC, 2006).

Admiralty Shipyards delivered the Bester-1 rescue vehicle to Nizhny Novgorod for trials. This titanium deep-water rescue vehicle of Type 18271 is being built at the shipyard for the new Igor Belousov rescue ship of type 21300S, which is now being completed.

Okskaya Shipyard launched the seventh tanker (Type RST27, Volgo-Don Max class, sea/river deadweight of 7 030/5 428 tons) named VF Tanker-17. The customer of the series of fifteen tankers of Type RST27 is VF Tanker Shipping Company. RTS27 was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau. As compared with deadweight of V.F.Tanker-11, which was 6980/5378 t, the new vessel outperforms its forerunner by 50 tons having deadweight of 7030/5428 t. The trial speed is 11.7 knots.

The fishermen in the Far East basin caught 3306 t of aquatic biological resources for one fishing day. Today, 91 fishing vessels registered at the sea ports operate in the fishing industry. Among them, there are 36 heavy-tonnage vessels.

In the next three years Persey Company, Murmansk plans to build a series of fishing vessels using resource-saving fishing technologies. Six long-liners will be built at the Pella Shipyard. The first vessel is expected to be launched by the end of this year. The length of the vessel will be 47.5 m, power 1200 kW and the crew of about 20. The new long-liners are based on the Hyer-II vessel, Norway.

Igor Kurdin, the advisor of the Governor of St. Petersburg, said that the Aurora cruiser will be repaired at the Severnaya Verf shipyard. The work is scheduled for the summer 2013.

In the Kaliningrad region, the Boiky corvette of the Baltic Fleet put out to sea for acceptance trials under the command of captain rank II Sergei Lipsky. In February, the crew shall test the surface, underwater and air target detection system and then make a conclusion on the corvette readiness for trials using all kinds of weapons installed on board.

The Stapel Central Design Bureau developed new design of vessel for the dredging fleet: it is an electric floating non-self-propelled collapsible dredger with capacity of 4 thousand cubic meters per hour. The dredger is used for construction of alluvial hydraulic structures, extraction of materials, water cleaning from sediment and fouling as well as dredging. The dredger deals with soils of groups I to V.

The third Trikand (Bow) frigate of Type 11356 built by Yantar Baltic Shipyard for the Indian Navy put out to the Baltic sea for acceptance trials. The trial crew and the crew of the Baltic Fleet shall test all the systems and machinery installed on board the frigate in the field conditions. The factory and state trials will last till the end of March and after that the training of Indian crew shall start.

A group of private Russian investors purchased the Magadan Commercial Sea Port. One of the investors Valentin Kuzakov noted that buyers, including himself, were private individuals and the share of each investor was 24.5 per cent.

Director General of Rosoboronexport Anatoly Isaykin made the business review for 2012. Over this period Russia concluded the contracts in the amount of 17.6 billion dollars increasing the rates of 2011 by 2.5 times.
