ZNT Yard changed the structure of shareholders. Delta-Volga Group sold 57.84 per cent of the company shares and left the structure of its shareholders. According to the edition, Stupino Metallurgical Company (Moscow region) and its subsidiary Stupino Titanium Company became new owners of the securities. Companies acquired 29.89 per cent and 27.94 per cent of the shares, respectively. The transaction terms are confidential.
After the Russian Navy accepts the Admiral Nakhimov, modernised heavy nuclear missile cruiser, in 2018, the Petr Veliky will be sent to repair. The first preparatory stage of repair and modernisation of the Admiral Nakhimov are carried out by Sevmash as per the contract signed last year between the company and the Russian Ministry of Defence. The modernisation project is being developed by Severnoye Design Bureau. By 2018, on board the ship, they will have installed modern weaponry systems to significantly enhance its combat potential and capabilities.

Vyborg Shipyard will take control over Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, Finland. Later, both assets can become under the control of Rosneft headed by Igor Sechin. The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) consolidates 100 per cent of shares by Arctech Helsinki Shipyard being on the verge of bankruptcy. Then, the shipyard will become under control of the Vyborg Shipyard. As a result of merging, the shipyard production capabilities will increase approximately three times.

Northern Shipbuilding Corporation, Arkhangelsk, built a new high-speed vessel in Solombal to carry out the rescue works on the Solovetsky Islands. In spring, the boat will pass sea acceptance trials. The vessel will start operating in summer 2014. The boat is equipped with two diesel engines of 240 hp. Thus, it can develop a speed of up to 24 knots. The cruising range of the boat is up to 340 nautical miles. The crew capacity is 12 in number. The boat will be used in search, rescue and emergency operations in the delta of the Northern Dvina, Dvina Bay and on the Solovetsky Islands.

On 20 January, the Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Yard launched the second rescue and crew boat Katran of type 21770. The boat was built for the Admiralty Shipyard and will be completed with carrier vessel of type 21300 for the Russian Navy needs.

The second diesel-electric submarine of type 636 left the Admiralty Shipyard to sail to the permanent base. In all, six submarines are ordered by shipyard for the Vietnamese Navy.  The submarine sailed to Kaliningrad to be submerged into the lighter. The diesel-electric submarine will be on the Vietnamese Navy base in about a month and a half. On 16 January 2014, the second submarine was officially accepted.

The Rostov Port group of companies has started the construction of boats for special services, commercial and personal use. The construction is performed by DDD shipbuilding company (one of the representatives of the group of companies) using the shipyard facilities. Instead of steel, aluminum and fiberglass, low-pressure polyethylene HDPE is used. This material is lighter than water, resistant to UV radiation, and is not affected by corrosion and other exposure of water environment harmful for the hull. 

In Nha Trang, Vietnam, close to the naval base Kamran, they will open the Admiralty Shipyard representative office. This information was confirmed by the shipyard representatives. However, it is not known when the representative office will start running. This decision was taken due to the order for construction of six diesel-electric submarines of type 636 Varshavyanka for the Vietnamese Navy. Submarines are delivered to Vietnam under the 2009 contract, which amounts to about two billion USD.

The STX Offshore and Shipbuildung company in Chinkhe (South Korea) held a naming ceremony for a new tanker, the Veliky Novgorod built by the order of Sovcomflot. The vessel is designed for transportation of liquefied natural gas and will be used under a long-term agreement with Gazprom Global LNG. The Veliky Novgorod tanker was included into the Russian Gazprom fleet, said Andrey Osmakov, consul-general of Russia in Pusan.
