Astrakhan shipbuilding yard Lotus launched the Anatoly Sidenko, the second multipurpose dry-cargo motor ship of 7240 tons in deadweight and Type RSD49 built at this yard. Lotus shipyard builds the ships of this type under leasing scheme with the participation of the lessor - JSC Goznak-leasing and the lessee - Ankor Shipping Company.  United Shipbuilding Corporation takes part as the loaner for leasing company.  Ships of Type RSD49 were designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau.  The main feature of the ship (as opposed to all the other ships of  Volga-Don max class, designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau) is a large hold of 52.0 m long located in the middle part, which allows to carry oversize cargo directly by the route Europe - the Caspian thus increasing the total profit.
The 220-ton steam generation unit manufactured under the design of Afrikantov OKBM was delivered from the slipway of the workshop 6 at the Baltic Shipyard to the outfitting quay and under the supervision of customer (Rosenergoatom Concern) as well as Russian Maritime Register of Shipping was placed into the reactor compartment of production and operation unit with the help of Demag floating crane.  "The same complex operation was performed by Baltic Shipyard in 2001 in the course of construction of the 50 Years of Victory icebreaker, the last nuclear ship of Arctic type", – noted Alexander Konovalov, Production Director of Baltic Shipyard, temporarily in charge of General Director.  "So, it is a great event notifying the fact that shipyard revived"

Severnaya Verf shipyard launched the Yuri Ivanov leading scout ship of Type 18280 (Serial No. 787), as reported by Lenta.ru. The ship fitting-out will continue afloat and at the end of 2014 after all the trials the ship will be delivered to the Russian Navy and included to the Northern Fleet. Meanwhile, Severnaya Verf shipyard is going to lay keel of the first ship of Type 18280 (Serial No. 788).  The ship will be named Ivan Khurs. 

Krasnoyarsk shipbuilding yard launched the new non-self-propelled vessel, the twenty sixth vessel within the Yenisei Fleet Renovation Programme. It is the first vessel launched at the yard this year.  БП-3004 barge is fourth of Type 1960 having load-carrying capacity of 3000 tons.  The vessel is built under the order of Yenisei River Shipping Company and intended for transportation of open-storage cargo (wood, coal, mineral construction materials) as well as motor-vehicles, equipment and containers.  It should be noted that the first vessel of the type was built in 2011. 

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is ready to assign 115 million roubles for preparing design documentation for innovative power plant operating with liquefied natural gas, as reported by i-mash referring to Izvestia.  After introduction of new technology, the officials expect to reduce the transportation cost for 15 per cent, as well as to reduce pollutant emission for 20 per cent.  Developing the power plant operating with liquefied gas will allow to reduce the transportation cost due to the less fuel consumption.  And this will increase the competitiveness of both marine and river gas-powered vessels.  It is expected the new power plants will be installed on passenger intraurban, tourist, port, dry-cargo vessels, as well as mixed river-sea-going and LNG transport vessels. 

Vladimir Averin, the director of Zvezda yard (Bolshoi Kamen), stepped down at his own wish.  The Tomsk nuclear submarine was burning recently at this yard.  As reported by the Russian Information Agency PrimaMedia, Sergey Lebedev the chief engineer was assigned as acting director. 

On 2 October, Vyborg Shipyard signed the agreement with Alasund Iceland Company specialized in designing, selling, consulting in fishing shipbuilding industry for many Russian customers.   Additionally, this company is the representative of the Skipasyn Iceland Engineering Bureau having the great number of perspective designs of fishing vessels of various purposes, as reported by the  press office of the shipyard.

Sakhalin deputies requested Dmitry Medvedev to include construction of vessels purposed for delivering cargo and passengers to the Kurile Islands into the Federal Target Programme "Development of Transport Infrastructure of Russia for 2010 to 2020", as reported by the Far Eastern Internet Publication DV-ROSS.  One cargo and passenger vessel is required for shipping from Sakhalin to the Southern and Middle Kurile Islands, one for shipping from Kamchatka to the Northern Kurile Islands and two cargo and passenger vessels for shipping between Kurile Islands.  As it was noted in the request, only marine transport could be used for shipping between Sakhalin and the Kurile chain due to the particular climate conditions.

It is the first time the K-21 submarine, the participant of the Great Patriotic War, is being completely repaired.  Thirty years ago the submarine was berthed at the pier in Severomorsk for everlasting mooring.  The museum staff has been on watch instead of sailors.  And now the repair crew has taken over the watch.  The submarine reconstruction is lasting for already four months.  It is expected to complete the repair in December. And if all goes as scheduled, the legendary K-21 submarine will start the new life in new year.

Irtysh Shipping Company having 56 million dept paid many-millioned fees for the Board of Directors and informally paid the excessive prices for audit company services.   Since 2009, seven members of the Board of Directors were received big cash rewards from the company budget every year. In 2012 the sum was amounted to 14.93 million roubles and in the first half of 2013 it was 9.51 million roubles. In addition, the Shipping Company during six months of the current year has lost 56.54 million roubles considering that the net profit was only 47 thousand roubles in 2012 and 55 thousand roubles in 2011.  Last year, the dividends to 2024 shareholders had been allocated in the amount of 20.7 thousand roubles. Another interesting fact is contained in the contract for audit services, which was annually concluded by the Shipping Company. The audit service was provided by the FinTrest. In 2010 the cost for rendering audit services was evaluated in 190 thousand roubles, in 2011 it was 250 thousand roubles and in 2012 it was 220 thousand roubles. 

The Nothern Shipping received the Sergei Kuznetsov vessel within the planned fleet renovation programme.  It is the third vessel delivered for the Northern Shipping for the last year.  The vessel was handed to owner in the Ventspils port (Latvia).  The vessel is equipped with two cranes of load capacity 80 tons each intended for unloading cargo of up to 150 tons. These two cranes allow to  transport bulky and heavy cargo on board the Sergei Kuznetsov vessel.   

Three new agreements on intent to participate in the project "Development of dry cargo sea port of Taman" was signed with Kuzbassrazrezugol (Moscow), RUSAL Global Management B.V. (The Netherlands) and Crimean Logistics Terminal (Krasnodar) within the 12th International Economic Forum held in Sochi in the presence of Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.  

Rosneft offers to change the speciality of the 82nd Shipyard of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) into the supply base and the offshore equipment service. After the change, the Shipyard plant will be specialized in completing offshore platforms produced in the Far East. But this matter has not been agreed with the Ministry of Defence, which is afraid of losing the strategic platform for repairing Naval ships.
