Zvyozdochka Shiprepair Centre, Severodvinsk, is going to repair two diesel-electric submarines of the Indian Navy. Now, they are preparing for the repair. Vladimir Nikitin, director general of Zvyozdochka Shiprepair Centre, told that the company looks forward to further cooperation with their partner, the Republic of India. Since 1997, Zvyozdochka has modified five diesel-electric submarines for the Indian Navy. Among them are the Sinduvir, the Sinduratna, the Sinduvijay. The last modified submarine was the Sindurakshak (2013).
Pella Leningrad Shipyard launched the third vessel of the series of integrated port servicing vessels of type 03180, being constructed on the basis of type SKO-1000.

The deadline of handing over the Ivan Gren large landing ship to the Russian Navy is extended to 2015. Previously, the interim director general of Yantar Shipyard, Alexander Konovalov told that there were delays in the building terms for the ship. According to him, the Ministry of Defence provided the documents much later than expected. From the very beginning of the project the dates were postponed and the ship was poorly funded. The Ministry and the company agreed on terminating this contract and concluding a new one.
On 11 January 2014, the Gloster 1 lead ship of type RST26 (sea/river deadweight of 4560/2787 tons) sailed to its first voyage. The vessel was constructed by the Kherson Shipyard. The ship dimensions (LOA of 118.87 and BOA of 13.0) are suitable to pass the White Sea Canal. Type RST26 ship is designed for mixed (river-sea) and sea transportation of crude oil and oil products in bulk, including petrol, without restriction by flash temperature as well as wine materials, edible oils and syrup. Two cargoes of the same type can be transported simultaneously.
The transportation system of the Prirazlomnoye field included the Vengeri multipurpose vessel. It is intended for rescue operations around the Prirazlomnaya Offshore Ice-Resistant Fixed Platform. On board the ship, they installed equipment which corresponds to the world standards. If necessary, this equipment can be used for oil spill response. One more supply vessel became required in accordance with the applicable Oil Spill Prevention and Response Plan and because of the active work having been started, namely oil production in December 2013. In the first quarter of 2014, the first oil consignment will be shipped.
The first quarter of this year will be special or the Caspian fleet. They will raise St. Andrew's flags on small missile boats of type 21631, the Sviyazhsk and the Uglich, and on the Grachonok anti-saboteur boat of type 21980. In December 2013, these vessels passed their state acceptance trials. Over the year of 2014, Gorky Zelenodolsk Plant will deliver the third small missile ship of type 21631, the Veliky Ustyug, and one more boat of this type to the Caspian fleet. At present, the fleet command started crew recruitment. The seamen will sail to Zelenodolsk for training and mastering new weapons and equipment.
The Vietnamese Navy took the first submarine. The ceremony of raising the national flag of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on board the Varshavyanka submarine of type 636 was held at the naval base of Cam Ranh. The submarine was named the Hanoi (hull No. HQ182). "The Hanoi became an important step in creating the today's submarine forces of the Vietnamese Navy that defend the country sea sovereignty," said the Navy Commander, Deputy Minister of the national defence Nguyen Van Hien.
One more ship was developed and handed over to the customer by Stapel Central Design Bureau. It is a technical working design of dumb barge-platform (capacity of 560 t) classed by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping as * R3-RSN. The vessel is designed for transporting a stacked cargo (sheet structures and pipes) and caterpillar crane with a lifting capacity of 250 t. The ship can also be temporarily put on piles to be held "on site" for loading and unloading. The piling consists of four piles and trunks made in the hull of the vessel. For pile installation and raising auxiliary devices are used. Cargo hold capacity as per the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is about 401 t.
Nerpa Ship Repair Plant is about to launch the first Soviet nuclear submarine of type K-3, the Leninsky Komsomol, at its own expense provided that the Russian Ministry of Defence pays for the submarine later. In December, the Ministry of Defence assured that 43 million roubles will be assigned in 2014 for assembling the ship cut to pieces. Up to now, there are no signed documents confirming the intention of the Navy representatives to pay for the work. "Meanwhile, the K-3 type submarine is on the Nerpa slipway that is required for a large international project," said the representative of the USC to Izvestiya newspaper.
