On 21 May, Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding Plant launched the Okean lead border patrol ship of Type 22100. The lead patrol ship of a new generation designed by Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau is the first ship meeting the Boundary Service requirements. The ship is multi-purpose. She has great combat qualities and is capable of participating in full-scale rescue operations. The Okean has no equals by specifications (speed: 20 kn; ice class; cruising range: up to 12000 miles; endurance: 60 days).
Lotos Shipyard, Astrakhan, launched the second multi-purpose dry cargo vessel of Type RSD49 Anatoly Sidenko (7240 t deadweight). The customer is Ancor shipping company. Ships of this type are being built by Lotos under the leasing agreement. The lessor is Goznakleasing and the lessee is Ancor shipping company. The lender is United Shipbuilding Corporation. The designer is the Marine Engineering Bureau.

The inspection board of the Federal Agency for Sea and River Transportation accepted the Puteyskiy-223 buoyage vessel of Type 3050.1 constructed for Administration of the Lena river basin of inland waterways. The designer is Gorky Central Design Bureau of River Fleet. The ship was constructed by Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Yard at the facilities of the Upper Lena Waterways and Shipping Company, a subsidiary of Administration of the Lena river basin of inland waterways, Zhigalovo, Irkutsk region.

Dalzavod Shiprepair Centre completed the first stage of repair and restoration of the Krasny Vympel memorial ship. The old soldier of the Pacific Fleet, which was converted at the beginning of the last century from the messenger vessel to the warship, will return to the Korabelnaya Naberezhnaya in the middle of June. On 24 April, the Krasny Vympel was towed and placed in the dock. The repair will be performed under the state defence order. In all, the total cost of the Pacific Fleet defence state order of the current year amounts to 12 billion rubles assigned for repair and maintenance of 250 vessels.
Amur Shipyard is not able to deliver the search-and-rescue vessel of 7 MW till July 2014. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Victor Olersky during the meeting of the Marine Industry Collegium under the Russian government. Mr. Olersky suggested delegating the task to another contractor. The search-and-rescue vessel of 7 MW is being built under the state contract of 17 December 2009. The company delayed the construction several times. At present, construction of the vessel is frozen. On 6 May 2014, the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Centre informed Rosmorrechflot that it will take twelve months to launch the ship starting from the day resumption of works; and at least thirty-six months, to deliver the ship to the customer.
On Wednesday, the Baltika innovative multi-purpose search-and-rescue icebreaker arrived from Helsinki to Kaliningrad and moored at Yantar Baltic Shipyard, where she will be accepted by the State Commission. Finland prepared the second-to-none vessel for the Russian search-and-rescue fleet. A flag-raising ceremony of the new ship is planned to be held in St. Petersburg.
The state inspection board accepted the RB-412 tug of Type 90600. In the near future, the vessel will be delivered and included into the Black Sea Fleet of Russia. The tug is intended for towing and canting operations in ports, roadsteads and coastal areas of type R3 (borders to be determined by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping); for refloating ships and vessels; extinguishing fires at floating and onshore facilities; performing oil spill response, shipping cargo, jetting ice.

A new oil tanker, which will be used for transporting various oil products, was officially launched on 21 May at Kostroma shipyard. The customer is Transpetrochart shipping company, St. Petersburg. The tanker is fitted with modern equipment and can transport about 5000 t of oil products. On board the ship there are ten cargo compartments to transport enough oil per a passage. The vessel was built for 1.5 years. After launching, the tanker passed sea acceptance trials and safety tests.
Palmali Group of Companies at Armada Shipyard, Turkey laid two keels of sea/river tankers (Type Armada RST22M). with 7100 t deadweight each. The construction is to be completed till March 2015. RTS22M was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau. The vessels are of the Volga-Don Max class, i.e. have maximum displacement and dimensions suitable to pass Volga-Baltic Waterway. Specifications:
