Okskaya shipyard will build a new multipurpose vessel for TMTP (Commercial Seaport, Tuapse), which will combine the following functions of three port ships:
- bilge water removing ship
- oil-spill boat
- fuel vessel
These three ships are overaged and shall be discarded under the medium-term programme of the TMTP port fleet renovation in 2012 to 2015. Several shipyards wanted to win the tender for the project of a total value of about 240 million roubles. Among them were foreign companies, for example, DAMEN shipyard, Netherlands. The President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Vladimir Shmakov may soon leave his office. This is due to the fact that the Federal Security Service of Russia suspected that his admission to classified information is abusive. Recently they have finished verifying the keeping conditions of classified documents and travelling of the USC personnel admitted to the classified information. As a result, it was found out that the USC top managers responsible for the state defense order and classified information went abroad without permission. In particular, the USC President Vladimir Shmakov, on February 2014, abused the law and visited Finland. Leaving Shmakov without access to information of high importance means that he will not be able to attend discussions concerning the state defense order as well as holding scheduled meetings. Under the terms of the employment contract having access to classified information is the employment basis for the USC head.
