The Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the United Shipbuilding Corporation have developed a plan to order civil vessels and marine equipment till 2020. According to the plan, 1,352 vessels will be built at Russian shipyards within 8 years (72 of them are ready). Main customers will be oil and gas companies having spent 544.2 bln RUR, while 230.9 bln RUR will be allocated for the construction of vessels from the budget.

The United Shipbuilding Corporation has rounded out negotiations to buy 80 % of shares in “Vyborg Shipyard” being under the control of “Russia” Bank’s shareholders. Transaction value is about 1.8 bln RUR. The United Shipbuilding Corporation has immediately placed a contract at “Vyborg Shipyard” to build two icebreakers for 8 bln. RUR.

Rescuers have managed to examine a motorboat from sunken platform “Kolskaya” found the 30th of January on the shore of Urup island (Kuril Archipelago). There were no bodies of platform’s dead workers on the boat. A few holes were found at the sides of the boat. An active search in the area “Kolskaya” drilling rig wreck is stopped.

“Admiral Makarov” frigate was laid at Baltic Shipyard “Yantar” for the Russian Navy. Project 11356 is prepared by Joint Stock Company “Severnoye Design Bureau”. Baltic Shipyard “Yantar” has to pass the first three frigates of the series to the Navy in 2014–2015.

The sixth tanker, project RST27, has been laid at "Krasnoye Sormovo” Shipyard for “Volga-Balt-Tanker”. Technical design RST27 is developed by Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa), class KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP) of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. Detailed design is developed by Volga-Caspian Design Bureau (Nizhny Novgorod). Vessel length – 140.85 m, deadweight at sea — 6,980 t, and depth – 6 m.

The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has opened a new office in the capital of the Republic of Panama. Dmitry Posokhov was appointed as the Director of the office. The technical support centre for design and construction of vessels in the Republic of Korea (Pusan) is also to be opened on March 7th. A new office of the Register of Shipping in Italy (Genoa) is also expected to be opened.

Khabarovsk Shipyard will receive 1.2 bln RUR for the comprehensive refit. These funds are planned to be spent for the modernization of production facilities, and purchase of new equipment under the state program for development of military-industrial complex until 2020.
