ZNT Yard handed over the second Buran multipurpose buoyage vessel (Type BLV02, serialNo. 903) The customer is Rechvodput (River Waterways Service) belonging to the Federal Agency for Sea and River Transportation, Russian Ministry of Transport. The designer is Marine Engineering Bureau.

On 31 August, the NEVA-LEADER 5 self-propelled dry-cargo vessel (serial No. 405, deadweight 7150 t) passed its sea acceptance trials. The vessel is built by Nevsky Shipyard for Northwestern Shipping Company. The vessel was designed by the Saint-Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau. The vessel feature (unlike all other Volgo-Don max class vessels) is a large midship hold (52 m long) allowing to transport oversized project cargoes in one-way Europe-to-Caspian Sea voyages. Thus, a better total financial result is obtained, reports the press office of Nevsky Shipyard.
Ozernaya Verf (Laky Shipyard) launched a special police patrol boat (Type 14M, serial No. 05) named Nikolai Nikiforov. The Customer is Northwestern Logistics Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The police speed patrol boat is designed for inspection and patrol as part of divisions of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs with special staff and passengers on board. After trials, the boat will be prepared and delivered to the Customer in the southern regions of Russia. The ship has the river-sea class and can patrol both the coastal sea areas and mouths of big rivers.
Sevmash held a solemn launching of the ocean megayacht (Type А1331). The megayacht is a special project for Sevmash. For the Russian company producing complicated science-intensive products, nuclear submarines, it is the first experience in constructing the vessel of such a class. It is the megayacht built by Sevmash that initiated the creation of a new class of luxury ships in Russia, reports the press office of the company.

On 4 September, Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Yard signed a contract on manufacturing a series of diving boats (Type 14157) for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defence, reports the press office of the company. The boats will be of special sea-going boat class. Type 14157 boats will be used for diving operations in open roadsteads, harbours and coastal sea areas at depths up to 60 m.

Dalzavod will be ordered maintenance of the first Russian helicopter carrier, Vladivostok, of Mistral class. The Vice-Premier of Russia, Dmitry Rogozin, said this news at Russia 24 TV channel. In October there will be a meeting of Military-Industrial Commission will discuss the issues of weapons to be installed on board the carrier. All systems are included into the Arms State Programme.
Shipbuilders started a deep modernisation of the Admiral Nakhimov heavy nuclear missile cruiser (Type 11442), as reported the Admiral Viktor Chirkov, Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief. After modernisation, the ship will be able to carry up to 80 units of missile weapons for various purposes. Also twelve multipurpose nuclear submarines (Antey of Type 949am-4, Schuka-B of Type 971m-6, Barrakuda of Type 945m-2) will be modernised by 2012.
On 2 September, V.F. Tanker shipping company accepted the twelfth tanker (Type RST27,
Volgo-Don Max class, sea/river deadweight 7030/5428) VF Tanker-21. The shipbuilder is Okskaya Shipyard. The vessel was ordered by V.F. Tanker Company belonging to VBTH whose majority shareholder is Universal Cargo Logistics Holding consolidating a number of Russian shippers, stevedores and shipyards. The designer is the Marine Engineering Bureau.
The Yury Dolgoruky strategic nuclear submarine missile carrier (Type 995 Borey), the lead ship, left Sevmash for permanent service in the Northern Fleet, reports i-mash. The village of Gadzhievo became a new basing site of the submarine.

Rosneft oil company plans to get a ship-repair plant No. 82 in the village of Roslyakovo, Murmansk Region. This is because the company seeks to strengthen its positions at the Arctic shelf. According to experts, buying the shiprepair plant No. 82 by the Rosneft will be a great measure for the industry in whole. Currently, Roslyakovo Plant, which is one of the key objects of the Northern Fleet, serves for not only the United Shipbuilding Corporation, but also the Russian Navy.
On 4 September, the Pella Leningrad Shipyard completed the state sea acceptance trials for the
MB-92 tug (serial No. 503, Type PE-65), the first of the four tugs (Type PE-65) built for the Russian Navy, reports the company press office. At the moment, the ship is being revised and prepared for delivery to the Customer. Specifications:

The Burevestnik airfoil boat was delivered to Yakutsk. The engineers of the Manufacturer and the crew started to assemble the ship. Operations are held in the water area of the river port Yakutsk on the territory of the State Inspection for small vessels. The airfoil boat creators classify the vessel as an amphibian one due to non-standard and aerodynamic design. The vessel is a one-and-a-half plane with a lower disc wing.
The Burevestnik is designed for carrying 24 passengers.
