Yaroslavl Shipyard held a solemn ceremony of launching the landing boat (Type 21820, serial No. 701). On 23 June 2011, the contract on constructing three boats of this type was signed between Yaroslavl Shipyard and the Ministry of Defence. The designer is Alexeyev Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau, Nizhny Novgorod. The boat was named Denis Davydov.

Pella Shipyard laid the keel of a special tug-vessel (Type 16609, serial No. 629), one of the vessels built for the Russian Navy.
The vessel is designed to perform towing and special operations in navigation areas R2 (navigation in the sea areas not more than 100 miles from the shelter).

Sakhalin Shipping Company launched a shipping line between the US and Chukotka. The Kunashir motorship took 350 containers with cargoes on board in the Everett port, US and sailed to Pevek, Chukotka. The vessel is planned to arrive in this harbour on the coast of the Arctic Ocean on 8 August.

State departments, the Ministry of Defence and defence companies will raise the level of its interaction to provide the effective and balanced development of the Navy to achieve the president's goals, namely to ensure long-term strategic security of the country and protection of its interests, including exploration of the Arctic shelf. Such tasks were put on Monday by the Russian president Vladimir Putin according to the results of the meeting in Novo-Ogarevo focused on the Navy development and execution of the fleet part of the State defence order. The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Rogozin claimed that Russia began to develop a new Arms State Programme for 2016 to 202, which among other things consider new principles of weapons manufacture.

Pella Shipyard launched a tug (Type 90600, serial No. 938). The press office of the shipyard says that by the end of this year the RB-40 tug will be delivered to Murmansk, where it will be put into operation within the Northern Fleet of Russia.

On 29 July, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. Ltd. shipyard (Ulsan, Republic of Korea) held a solemn ceremony of handing over a new gas carrier SIBUR VORONEZH designed for regular year-round transportation of petroleum gases. It is the first of the two vessels ordered by SOVCOMFLOT and chartered by SIBUR petrochemical holding under the long-term contract, as reports the press office of the Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping.

On 29 July, Vyborg Shipyard completed sea acceptance trials of the Atlant self-submersible barge platform. The trials program was planned for two days and included checking of the ship systems and submergence and surfacing of the barge.

Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Yard launched the buoyage vessel of Type 3050.1, serial
No. 235, Russian River Registry class R 1.2, ice 20, which means "river, capable of moving in ice 20 cm thick and at wave height 2.0 m". The customer is Rosmorrechflot for the Volga-Baltic State Basin Authority for Waterways and Shipping.

Severnaya Shipyard (Northern Shipyard) began harbour acceptance trials of the Soviet Navy Admiral Gorshkov frigate. The trails will be conducted at the outfitting berth. They will check the installation and operation of all the mechanisms and equipment, terms of maintenance before the sea acceptance trials.
