Shipbuilding and shiprepair orders will be now placed abroad only upon the Russian Vice prime minister's consent. He announced this news at the conference of the heads of shipbuilding companies, as reports I-mash. "Each particular case will be treated individually. I shall personally check each contract. Being a person authorised to be responsible for shipbuilding (defence and civil) by the president, I will decide whether to permit signing this contract or not", noted Mr. Rogozin.
Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Plant handed over a buoyage vessel of type 3050, classed by the Russian River Registry as R 1.2, which means "river, capable of moving at wave height 1.2 m". The vessel was built under the State Contract for the vessel construction within the programme "Service Fleet Renovation". As reported by the shipyard press office, the vessel of type 3050 "120" was built for the Volga State Basin Authority of Waterways and Shipping. The vessel home port will be Nizhny Novgorod. The vessel has a powerful deck manipulator crane on board allowing to place buoys and buoyage signs, and to perform handling operations.

Laky Verf shipyard held a solemn launching of the Patrulny-14 ship. The vessel became the fourth among the patrol boats built by Laky Verf. The Patrulny-14 is designed for checking and supervision of the shipping safety in internal water and sea inshore ways by Gosmorrechnadzor (State Sea and River Supervision Service). As reports the Russian Shipping, after the trials the boat will be handed over to the customer. The home port of the boat will be Moscow.

Navashino launched the tenth serial Volgo-Don Max boat of type RST27. The vessel was constructed by Okskaya Sudoverf and designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau for V.F.Tanker company (VBTH holding). Real sea/river deadweight of the new tanker is 7 030/5 428 tons, which is 50 tons more than the value specified in the contract. The trial speed of the vessel is 11.7 knots. Lines for the new tanker were designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau together with Digital Marine Technology company in 2010 using computational fluid dynamics (CFD simulation).  The RST27 vessels belong to the Volga-Don Max class, i.e. have maximum displacement and dimensions suitable to pass Volga-Don Canal.

The state inspection board as part of the Caspian fleet officers has recently completed trials of a high-speed landing craft Serna of type 11770 at the shipyard in Nizhny Novgorod. The specialists checked the boat performance at various maneuvers with maximum speed, operation of all ship systems and gears in the simulated battle conditions. They also checked the receiving and landing of the landing craft to the unequipped coast and self-refloating. Now, the boat is being prepared for voyage in domestic waterways in the Caspian Sea, where it is expected in late summer.

The company group Rostov Port started the construction of a pleasure motor vessel of a restaurant type with a passenger capacity of more than 260 in number. For the company group, it is the first project in shipbuilding. Construction of the motor vessel of river-sea class is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2014. Then, the ship will be handed over to the customer, one of the passenger shipping companies in St. Petersburg.

The Yekaterinburg nuclear submarine of type K-84 suffered from fire in December 2011 will be restored afloat by Zvyozdochka Shiprepair Centre, Severodvinsk. According to the director Vladimir Nikitin, all the seven slipways are occupied. Thus, the ship will be afloat.

In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Amur Shipyard launched the lead supply vessel Ivan Sidorenko of type 22420. The ship was designed by the Baltsudoproekt Central Design Bureau and ordered by Gazflot. Another ship Ostap Sheremet purchased by state corporation will operate in Sakhalin next year.

Krylov State Research Centre became a winner of the state tender for development of a series of advanced electric drives of thrusters with power of 300 kW to 2 500 kW for Russian ships. This work will be performed by the branch of Krylov State Research Centre, the Ship's Electric Engineering and Technology Research Institute (SET), under the federal target programme  "Development of Transport Infrastructure of Russia for 2009 to 2016" in area No. 6 "Marine engineering and Energetics".

In the process of internal audit, the United Shipbuilding Corporation revealed a debt of Amur Shipyard to contractors. The total debt is 14 billion roubles. In this regard, the company was put under external management.

Order for supplying two medium-sized sea tankers of type 23130 was placed by Rosoboronpostavka (Federal Agency for Weaponry, Military and Special Equipment and Material Facilities Procurement) upon the order of the Russian Ministry of Defence. As reported by Lenta.ru, under the tender terms, ships are to be handed over to the Northern and Pacific Fleets in November 2014 and November 2015. The total cost of the order is 322.8 million roubles.

Shareholders of Yantar Shipyard, Kaliningrad, will consider the possibility of making a deal with Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, Finland, totaling 2 468 457 594 roubles. Under the deal, the Finnish shipyard shall perform design, construction and testing of innovative multipurpose rescue icebreaker using own production capacities. The ship will be designed for response to oil spills and for rescue operations in the ice and will be equipped with three full-circle propeller-rudder systems and will have total power of min. 7 MW.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade ordered Baltic Shipyard and Krylov State Research Centre to consider the terms of merging their design bureaus, OSC-Iceberg Central Design Bureau and Iceberg Central Design Bureau. The United Shipbuilding Corporation will soon announce the merging procedure after the board of directors carries the corresponding resolution. The moot points are priority positions of shareholders of new Iceberg and the building where both design bureaus work now.
