By the order of the Ministry of Defence, ZNT Yard will build sixteen boats of the integrated search-and-rescue support within three years, as reports Novosti news agency. According to him, now about eighty per cent of more than 1 000 ships and auxiliary vessels reach the end of service life and need repair. The Arms State Programme provides for repair of only sixty-five ships as well as twelve special and sixty-two auxiliary vessels till 2020. They plan to build 113 ships, eight special and sixty-five auxiliary vessels.
Nevsky Shipyard laid the tenth ship of the ten dry-cargo vessels (river-sea) with deadweight 7 150 tons (type RSD49) being built for Northwestern Shipping Company and designed by the St. Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau.
