The Board of Directors of the Yantar Shipyard approved an increase in the authorised capital of the company by 4 765 880 ordinary shares. Now, the authorised capital of the Yantar Shipyard is 238 294 thousand shares. Thus, considering additional share issue, the capital will be increased 21 times, i.e. up to 5 004 174 thousand shares with nominal value of 1 rouble for one share. Placing price is 14 thousand roubles. Shares will be placed by private subscription in favour of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.

Russia starts creating submarines of the fifth generation. Reportedly, Rubin Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering has already commenced the process to make both nuclear and conventional submarines, as reports Russian Newspaper.

By the end of 2014, Baltic Shipyard will manufacture three Calibre missile launchers for Yantar Shipyard, Kaliningrad. They will be installed on board type 11356 frigates. Today, Baltic Shipyard and Yantar Shipyard cooperate also in machine building (for almost 1 milliard roubles). In the beginning of 2013, the St. Petersburg shipyard produced three pairs of propellers for the first three Russian frigates. They have recently signed an agreement on the manufacture of six more propellers intended for the second three ships.

On board the Yuri Dolgoruky missile carrier of the fourth generation included into the 31st division of the Northern Fleet submarines, two crews are being trained for combat duty. While on board the Yuri Dolgoruky they study equipment and consolidate knowledge obtained in the Naval Training Centre (Sosnovy Bor), submariners of the second crew are commanded by the captain rank I Andrei Pavlovsky. It is them who are keeping the submarine instead of the more experienced crew who left for vacation and training. Besides keeping the submarine near the Sevmash pier, they conduct tasks as per the fleet rules.

The Central Administration of the Russian Navy decided to modernize large submarine hunters of type 1155 Frigate. The ships will be equipped with 130-mm gun mounts A-192, Calibre winged missiles and anti-aircraft missile systems with missiles of Redut mounts, as reports Lenta.ru. Modernization of each ship will cost the Navy two milliard roubles. In total, over the period of 1980 to 1991 twelve ships of type 1155 were built, however, today only eight of them are in service. The construction cost of one destroyer comparable to modernized ships in performance is about 30 milliard roubles.

Admiralty Shipyard, a member of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, plans to withdraw from Novo-Admiralteisky island, including all the historical buildings, by 2018. The shipyard is moved to the so called southern site where new production capacities are being built.

On 19 March 2013, the new multi-purpose rescue vessel Spasatel Karev passed ice trials, as reports the press office. The vessel was built by Nevsky Shipyard for the fleet of the Baltic Basin Emergency-Rescue Administration. The trials were carried out in the Gulf of Finland at -7° to 10° С, ice depth 35 to 45 cm, junctions of ice sheets up to 50 cm. Among the participants of the trials were representatives of Baltic Basin Emergency-Rescue Administration, Nevsky Shipyard, Laboratory of ice equipment and ice classes of Central Naval Research and Design Institute (CNNIMF) and other officials. The trials results showed that according to ice performance the vessel corresponds to the ice class Arc5 (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping).
