At the international exhibition Neva-2017 in St. Petersburg United Shipbuilding Corporation has signed agreements on strategic cooperation with six foreign companies: Palfinger (Austria), Schottel (Germany), Acopafi (Spain), Vulcan Nova (Croatia), MYCOM and Yanmar (Japan).
USC actively works on localization of production in the territory of the Russian Federation and one of aspects of such policy is creation of the panel of suppliers of civil shipbuilding. The corporation is open to cooperation with foreign producers that it confirms signing of six cooperation agreements within the international civil shipbuilding exhibition Neva-2017, reports USC.
In the memorandum of strategic partnership with the Palfinger company it is about localization of production of the equipment of the company in the territory of the Russian Federation and concerns hydraulic ship cranes – this type of the equipment is used on all vessels. The producer of Inman cranes (Bashkiria) acts as the partner of Palfinger. It is supposed that the Proletarian plant entering USC will be connected to this work.
One more partner of USC – the German company Schottel specializes in development, designing, production and sale of azimuthal propellers and complex propulsive decisions with power up to 30 MW for vessels of all sizes and types. It also considers the Russian market as one of potentially important for itself and actively works with shipyards, design offices and shipowners.
Commenting on signing of the agreement with Acopafi which localizes production of ship furniture in the territory of the Lotus special economic zone (SEZ), the head of USC Alexey Rakhmanov has said: "We have made the common decision that the company which will be engaged in ship furniture has to enter in this or that view from all following orders after tenders into structure of USC. Perhaps, it will be not the bilateral company, it is possible to join us still the partner, and, perhaps, not one".
According to the memorandum with Vulkan Nova, the Croatian company will be engaged in the organization of production of the deck equipment on the platform of the Vyborg engineering plant.
The fact that each of these companies has solid reputation was especially significant for USC when signing strategic cooperation agreements and I have perfectly proved in the world market of shipbuilding.
