The sailing expedition ships “Sedov” and “Kruzenshtern” were equipped with the satellite facilities LookOut designed and produced by the Russian company LLC “ServiceSoft”.
According to the captain`s radio electronics assistant the last testing period of the satellite facilities LookOut, installed on the both vessels, demonstrated high servicing characteristics, reliable operational capability in the real marine operations. Besides the satellite facilities LookOut provided permanent vessel monitoring during the whole expedition.
The whole expedition lasted 179 days, 152 of which were spent in the sea, 24 000 nautical miles were covered.
Nowadays the world`s largest four-mast Russian sailing ship “Sedov” went from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad following the Northern sea route and finishing its round the world expedition in honour of the 200 th anniversary of Antarctica discovery and the 75 th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
