As TASS reports with reference to the press service the government of the region, Kamchatka region will buy four self-propelled barges and three hovercrafts for development of transport connection in regional routes.
"This year 50 million rubles are already allocated as advance payments for construction of two self-propelled barges 40 tons every and three hovercrafts. Two more 20-ton barges are planned to be ordered next year with the term of their delivery before 2019", - the press service of the governor of Kamchatka Krai Vladimir Ilyukhin quotes.
One of three acquired hovercrafts is planned to be used for the sea connection between Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsk by the Avacha bay. Now these settlements are connected by the road about 50 km long, and the sea way makes about 16 km. Also new vessels will work at routes between the villages of Tilichiki and Korf in the Olyutorsky district of Koryakia, Ust-Kamchatsk and Krutoberegovo in the Ust-Kamchatsky area.
