A representative of Nord ship owner company described the situation on the seiner on 1 April.
The Russian consul is not allowed to visit the Ukrainian port of Berdyansk to clarify the situation related to the detained Kerch-based seiner Nord and its crew, reported by TASS as referred to the representative of the Kerch Collective Fishery Pervogo Maya.
"The Russian consul from Kharkiv can't access the port of Berdyansk; the authorities say that the presence of Russian citizens on board the ship is still questionable", she said.
At present, the health of the crew members is considered satisfactory, while on 30 March two fishermen requested emergency medical care. The ship owners regularly communicate with fishermen by phone.
The Nord was detained in the Sea of Azov on 25 March by the Ukrainian boarder guard.
