According to messages of TASS with reference to an interview of the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper with the commander-in-chief of the Navy of Russia Vladimir Korolev, the first modernized submarine (the fourth of the Borei series) of the Borei project 955A - "Prince Vladimir" - will be launched in November of this year.
"Just in the nearest future at the Sevmash enterprise in Severodvinsk the next guided atomic underwater missile cruiser of strategic assignment "Prince Vladimir" will be brought out of a shed. This event will take place in November", he said.
Before Korolev reported that launching of the fourth "Boreas" had to take place in August.
"Prince Vladimir" was laid down 2012, it will become the fourth submarine in a series from eight Boreas and the first representative of the advanced project Boreas-A.
Three submarines of the Boreas project are already given to the fleet. In 2014 two submarines - "Prince Oleg" and "Generalissimo Suvorov" were laid down both at once. In 2015 Emperor Alexander III submarine was laid down, in 2016 - "Prince Pozharsky" was. Each such submarine bears 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles Bulava.
As Victor Bursuk reported, the underwater cruiser "Prince Vladimir" was going to be delivered to the fleet in 2018.
