In 2018 the Pacific fleet of the Russian Navy will continue replenishing with the new ships and support vessels. The press service of the Eastern Military District reported about it.
It is planned that after a corvette "Sovershennyi" which arrived to Vladivostok this year connection of surface ships of the fleet will be filled up by the latest corvettes "Gromkii" and "Gremyashchii" on which crews are already created. One of these ships is under construction in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, another one is at Severnaya Verf in St. Petersburg.
Also the first in a series diesel electric submarine of the project 636.3 is planned to be accepted. These submarines are under construction exclusively for the Pacific fleet, and they possess the improved characteristics and are capable to bear a complex of cruise missiles of sea basing "Kalibr". Also the fleet will receive new antidiversionary boats and several support vessels, including, the modern tow.
