The large submarine hunters Admiral Tributs and Admiral Vinogradov and medium-sized sea tanker Pechenga will stay in Cam Ranh till 6 June.
Yesterday the Pacific Fleet warships consisting of large submarine hunters Admiral Tributs and Admiral Vinogradov and medium-sized sea tanker Pechenga arrived in the port Cam Ranh (Vietnam) with a routine visit. This was reported by the press office of
the Ministry of Defence.
A solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the port attended by the Consul-General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh and representatives of the Vietnamese MoD, the Naval Area Command, the Chief Political Administration of the Vietnamese People's Army, the Border Guard Command, the Military Administration and the People's Committee of the Khanh Hoa province.
The major official events planned as a part of the visit will be held in Cam Ranh on 4 June. In the period of call, there will be held joint sport competitions of Russian and Vietnamese sailors, as well as bus sightseeing tours for the personnel of the Pacific Fleet warships trough the historical places of the region.
The visit of the Russian ships to Vietnam will last until 6 June.
