Hannover Messe 2015, the world’s largest industrial fair and exhibition of the latest achievements in science and technology all over the globe is closing today. This year, it occupied an amazingly vast area of 240,000 sq.m and gathered 5000 exhibitors from over 100 countries. Every day, this fair was visited by dozens of thousands of experts from different countries of the world .
KSRC put a lot of efforts in development of its own portfolio of exhibits dedicated to such promising field as hydrogen energy and fuel cells. The breadboard prototypes of batteries and their cells were demonstrated at the KSRC stand. It should be highlighted that it is not the first time that KSRC participates in this section of Hannover Messe event, and its earlier displays show the evolution of Russian scientific thought in the field of hydrogen energy. Thus, if earlier we demonstrated the breadboards of low-capacity batteries and their separate fuel cells, now we were proud to draw the attention of the fair’s guests to our full-size breadboard prototypes of the fuel cell-based batteries capable of providing the power plants with kilowatts and megawatts of electric energy. Operational prototypes of such batteries are now undergoing successful tests intended to figure out if they could be commercially applied as self-contained power supplies for the existing Russian infrastructural facilities related to gas transportation, as well as to assess the capabilities of such batteries as power supplies of commercial ships.
On the whole, Hannover Messe 2015 was interesting for more Russian experts than the 2014 event. And not only experts. Officials, too. The Governor of Kaluga Region of Russia, Mr. Anatoly Artamonov, was one of the visitors of the Krylov’s stand.
To sum up, KSRC’s participation in Hannover Messe 2015 has become one more proof that Russia remains one of the world’s scientific leaders enriching the global market with high-end innovative products.
