Voyages of cruise liner Knyaz Vladimir from Sochi to Sevastopol are canceled till the end of August due to technical problems, according to TASS with the reference to the Black Sea cruises Company.
It was earlier reported that the first 2018 season voyage of Knyaz Vladimir had to happen on 29 April but it was rescheduled to 6 May because of the vessel defect. However, on 6 May it was postponed again because of smoke in the engine room. There were no passengers on board, the crew managed to handle the situation by their own without any casualties. At the time of the accident, the crew members (243 persons) only were on board the vessel and they were evacuated.
At the present time, the vessel is being inspected in order to clarify the circumstances of the smoke related incident. "Voyages for June and July are canceled due to technical problems. Voyages of cruise liner Knyaz Vladimir are now planned for August, September and October," said the company representative.
