The nuclear cruise missile submarine Orel often named an "aircraft killer" arrived in the Gulf of Finland jointly with the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the large submarine hunter Severomorsk and the frigate Admiral Gorshkov for preparation for and participation in the Main Naval Parade on 29 July in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt. This
was reported by the press office of the Ministry of Defence.
The Northern Fleet vessels have moored to the prearranged mooring buoys the help of three harbour tugs of the Russian Navy.
"On the route from the Barents Sea to the Baltic Sea, the ships exercised anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defence, passing narrow waters/straights, and exchanging signals in day and night.
