The Social Security Fund’s industrial accident insurance part is anticipated to be surplus in 2014 and would amount to 17B roubles by 2016. Employer contributions will not rise but preventive labor protection cost will. Paying 1M roubles per industrial death would require the Social Security Fund’s annual budget to be of 2.2B roubles.

St. Petersburg LEA affirmed that the criminal case was initiated on 15 June upon deliberate bankruptcy of the Baltiyskiy Zavod shipyard, according to RIA Novosti.
The credit watch in the Baltiysiy Zavod was initiated in January 2012 upon the claim of Bars Hydraulic Group. Then the shipyard owed them 3.7M roubles. St.Petersburg Arbitration Court initiated bankruptcy procedures in the shipyard in the late October 2012. The 13th arbitration in March 2013 granted a number of appeals against that decision, so the credit watch is still in place in the shipyard.
According to the court records, the shipyard had the total loan debt of about 12B roubles as of March of the previous year.

Zvyozdochka Shiprepair Centre handed over the Kaluga diesel-electric submarine to the Russian Northern Fleet. This is the first non-nuclear submarine repaired by the yard for the last 20 years.
The Kaluga arrived at Zvyozdochka in 2002 for medium repair and upgrade. However repair commencement was delayed to 2010 because of limited financing and priority placed on the nuclear submarines. Repairs and upgrades carried out by Zvyozdochka will enable operation of the Kaluga for the next ten years.

The large landing ship Cezar Kunikov of the Black Sea Fleet arrived at Varna, Bulgaria for major repair, according to Russian MoD press office.
The repair will be carried out by the Fleet Arsenal repair yard highly experienced in restoration of the then Soviet and subsequently Russian naval ships. The ship was towed to Varna by the offshore tugboat MB-173 belonging to the Black Sea Fleet. Repair of the Cezar Kunikov is expected to take about two years.

Vnesheconombank is considering modernization of the Zhatay Shipyard. Representatives of the state-owned Vnesheconombank have visited Yakutsk. The delegation led by Alexander Klimov, the head of shipbuilding section in VEB’s industrial department made a working visit to the Zhatay Shipyard belonging to the Lena United River Shipping Company, as reported by the Shipping Company’s press office.
Today the Zhatay Shipyard is the Shipping Company’s primary interest and the key in their large-scale development program to 2022. This is because the Shipping Company’s fleet requires renewal, and establishing shipbuilding facilities in Sakha (Yakutia) seems the only answer to the issue.

The Yaroslavl Shipyard has launched the SV2407 buoyage vessel named Puteyskiy-602. This is the third of six vessels of the type constructed for the Federal Agency for Sea and River Transportation under the auxiliary fleet renovation program. Once completely outfitted and successfully undergone dockside and sea trials, the vessel will be handed over to the owner, the Moscow Channel Company.

The ZNT Yard has handed over the BLV02 lead multitask buoyage vessel named Ladozhskiy. The customer is the River Waterways Office belonging to the Federal Agency for Sea and River Transportation, Russian Ministry of Transport. The Ladozhskiy vessel was constructed for the Volga-Baltic Basin Department of Waterways and Shipping. The BLV02 was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau.

On 11 July the Oka Shipyard launched the 11th Volga-Don Max tanker of type RST27 named V.F. Tanker-21. The vessel was ordered by V.F. Tanker Company belonging to VBTH whose majority stakeholder is Universal Cargo Logistics Holding consolidating a number of Russian shippers, stevedores and shipyards. The RST27 was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau. V.F.Tanker-11’s contractual deadweight of 6980/5378 tons was exceeded by 50 tons and reached 7030/5428 tons. The trial speed of 11.7 knots was registered.

The federal targeted program for socioeconomic development of the Far East and Baikal region to 2018 was added a line to construct a new 600 DWT river-going tanker for Chukotka. About 550 million roubles are planned to be allotted for construction of the new tanker. The vessel is presumed to deliver general cargo to local communities in Vaegi, Kanchalan, Krasneno, Lamutskoye, and Chuvanskoye.

The Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Yard has launched the second 21770 Katran type ship-based workboat. The dockside and sea trials are expected to take a month; thereafter the boat will be handed over to the customer, Zvyozdochka Shiprepair Centre to serve for the Russian Navy. The boat was designed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau.
The Katran type workboats are purposed for supporting everyday activities of the mother ship when at anchor, in the roadstead or in the base. The workboat is sized to be transported by sea, road, railway or air and is suitable for all the navigable internal waterways.
