About 1800 units of the auxiliary fleet will be involved in the 2018 navigation season on the Russian inland waterways. This was reported by the press office of Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport.ъ
"It is planned to keep the same level of inland waterways performance in the 2018 navigation season as in 2107, however, with some qualitative trends rising", the message says.
That is, the Volga, Kamsk, Volga-Baltic, and Baikal-Angara basins are to undergo their inland waterways improvements to encompass 1157 km totally in length. The total length of inland waterways for the 2018 navigation season is to be 101,484 km including 49,976 km with guaranteed navigable cross sections.
